PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

2025-2026 PRESIDENT
MEET CARLETTA
Dear Members, Sponsors, Supporters, and Friends,
It is an honor to continue serving as President of the DC Chapter of the National Black MBA Association. As I enter my second term, my commitment to fostering a culture of CARE— Collaboration, Advocacy, Resources, and Education—remains stronger than ever.
Maya Angelou once said, "When you learn, teach. When you get, give." This philosophy is at the heart of our extended CARE plan, which builds upon our foundation while positioning us for greater impact. Over the next term, we will:

-
Create a corporate and community advisory board to strengthen our networks.
-
Activate and advocate for more wealth-building opportunities to empower our members.
-
Re-establish a mentoring program for our Leaders of Tomorrow (LOT) to invest in the next generation.
-
Expand our education partnerships to offer certification credits and tuition discounts.
This extended CARE plan is designed to strengthen our chapter's foundation and ensure sustainable growth. More than just experience, I bring a deep passion for our mission, a commitment to service through action, and a vision to propel our chapter to new heights.
With your support, we can achieve even greater success, create lasting impact, and build a legacy of empowerment and excellence. I welcome your engagement and ideas—let’s continue this journey together. If you’d like to connect, please reach out at president@dcblackmbaa.org.
Respectfully,
Dr. Carletta S. Hurt
President, DC Chapter
