Dr. Lemar T. White has achieved outstanding results in his field and in the community. Lemar is recognized as an expert in the field of anti-bribery/anti-corruption, and is regularly called upon to speak at conferences, both in the US and Internationally. He recently presented at the AICPA's annual FCPA/anti-bribery conference in Washington, DC; and has presented several times in Miami at an anti-money laundering conference. Lemar currently works for Internet giant, Google, as a Lead education specialist with a portfolio focused on allyship and racial equity education. Previously, Lemar managed Google’s global anti-bribery due diligence program with some responsibility over data protection and anti-human trafficking.
At Google, Lemar is also seen as a diversity champion, being involved in several Employee Resource Groups [ERGs] within the company. He works tirelessly in the area of diversity recruiting and community service/engagement for the company during 20% of his time. In 2017, he was one of the individuals that led a team of approximately 100 Google employees to Flint, MI to address the issue of water quality that has been affecting that city for a few years now. In 2018, Lemar was awarded one of Google's Diversity Awards.
In addition to his expertise in the compliance field, Lemar has made a significant impact in the community toward advancing minority related issues He served as an Associate Board Member of City Year Washington, DC; servers as a Board of Trustee Member of Washington Yu Ying Public Charter School; is on the Board of Directors of the Alumni Association for his alma mater, Florida International University; serves as Treasurer for the Young Playwrights' Theater; and is a former Board of Regents Member for the Anti-Money Laundering & Financial Crimes Institute.
In 2016, the Urban League for Bergen County Young Professionals (ULBCYP) awarded Lemar the Empowerment Award for his outstanding work in the compliance field and his tireless efforts in education and promoting diversity. In 2018, he received the diversity award from City & State NY for outstanding leadership in advancing diversity in the community and the President's Award from the DC Black MBA Association. Lemar also led the DC Chapter to earn the 2020 Career Chanel Award and 2021 Chapter of the Year Award.
Lemar previously served as the Membership Chair of the DC Black MBA Association as well as Vice President, Administration. He holds a doctoral degree from Northeastern University, four Master's degrees including a Master of Business Administration from Texas A&M University-Commerce, and a Bachelor of Accounting from Florida International University. Lemar is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP) and Leadership Professional in Ethics & Compliance (LPEC).
