AWARDS & SCHOLARSHIPS
Each year, the DC Black MBA Association awards individuals and corporations that have demonstrated the values of the organization and made a significant impact in their community, particularly for the benefit of African-Americans.
Recipients of these awards represent a distinguished group of individuals and companies that contribute to economic empowerment, financial literacy, educational advancement and youth development.
Congratulations to everyone that has received an award from the DC Black MBA Association.

AWARD CATEGORIES
STUDENT OF THE YEAR
This is awarded to an individual that has displayed exemplary scholarly aptitude throughout his/her/their undergraduate/graduate career while still dedicating time to advance equity, equality and justice amongst minorities.
ACADEMIC PARTNER OF THE YEAR
This is awarded to an academic institution that has led the way in paving a path of excellence for minority students, both in their educational and professional pursuits. This institution also closely collaborates with the DC Black MBA Association to help deliver our programming to students.
COMMUNITY SERVICE AWARD
This is awarded to an organization or individual who exemplifies outstanding community service, particularly in advancing agendas that serve to promote economic empowerment, educational advancement and well-being in the Black community.
COLLABORATIVE PARTNER OF THE YEAR
This is awarded to a community service organization that has partnered with the DC Black MBA Association on various occasions and that continuously provides professional development and programming for the benefit of minority professionals.
PRESIDENT'S AWARD
(awarded at the discretion of the President)
This is awarded to a chapter member who the President deems has made a significant contribution to the Chapter and to the Black community.
ENTREPRENEUR OF THE YEAR
This is awarded to an individual who has successfully organized or managed a business undertaking and has displayed a record of success or stimulated the local economy.
DISTINGUISHED SERVICE AWARD
This is awarded to an institution or individual who has consistently supported the programs and efforts of the DC Black MBA Association.
MEMBER OF THE YEAR
This is awarded to an outstanding member of the DC Black MBA Association that has gone above and beyond in providing service to the Chapter, chapter members and the community to help ensure the success and longevity of the DC Chapter.
MBA OF THE YEAR
This is awarded to a member of the DC Black MBA Association whose participation and leadership exemplifies the values and mission of the Association.
